Here you can see where I filed away part of the M42 adapter to make space for the aperture transmitter thingy. For this I just held it to the lens and marked the region where the aperture ring moves. Also you can see that its necessary to countersink the holes for the screws to avoid having them stick out of the flange surface. I did it quite crudely as you can see, but it does the job.
